Sadly, my portfolio does not feature nearly enough mountian scenes. I'm hoping to add more to my collection soon!
Sedona Sunrise
One of the best sunrises I have captured. Sunrise is always tough as you have no idea what you will wake to find. These clouds were nowhere to be seen when I first arrived this brisk morning.
Winter Light in Sedona
We were luck to get a touch of snow on the mountain tops of Sedona. I was hoping for full on "Snow-dona" but it didn't quite happen.
Berry-essa Sunset
This hike was my favorite when I lived in Davis, CA. A short drive and a short (but strenuous) hike led to this beautiful viewpoint of Lake Berryessa down below.
Rainbow Bay
While catching a sunrise at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, a huge vived rainbow appeared behind my back.
First Light from Emerald Bay
A winter sunrise at Emerald Bay.
Reflections of Old
An oldie but a goodie. One of my first visits to Yosemite. I need to go back pronto and add to my collection. For such a beautiful place I have such bad photos!
Layers of SLO
Golden layers of hills from the top of West Cuesta Ridge in San Luis Obispo.
Zabriskie Pastels
I hiked Zabriskie Ridge in the early morning and caught some wonderful soft light on these colorful badlands.
Overwatch
This large "mountain" in the middle of the canyon was a key point I focused on throughout the morning at Zabriskie Point. It was fun to watch hikers meander through this landscape.
Corral Snake Canyon
The colorful nature of this canyon along with the way it snaked through the landscape reminded me of a giant corral snake.
'Unofficial' Artists Palette
This was not taken at the famous "Artists Palette" in Death Valley but I can't help but think this looks similar with the mix of awe-inspiring colors.
Nature's Jawbreaker
Maybe my favorite shot from this morning. I love how the smaller shapes feed into the larger and more colorful mounds. I kept thinking this whole landscape looked like a giant jawbreaker.
Parting Ways
I kept getting drawn to this feature as I loved the mirroring shapes and colors.
Unmarked Terrritory
Found this view on an unmarked trail in Sedona. This trail ended up having some of my favorite views of the whole trip. Sometimes it pays to find your own routes.
