I don't photograph wildlife too often but I have been lucky to have some cool encouters. Below are some of my favorites.
Tracking Benji
My wife and I followed this bear's tracks in the snow for hours. Turns out he was right by our car. Captured in Yosemite National Park. My wife named him Benji.
Goatee of Grass
A bull elk at Tomales Point in Point Reyes, CA. One of many that we hiked past.
Take Off
A squadron of pelicans in Shell Beach, CA. The fog and setting sun helped add some awesome color and atmosphere.
The Sprague Lake Local
While in Rocky Mountain National Park I had heard that if you went to Sprague Lake at sunset, odds are you would see a moose. To my surprise, those poeple were correct.
Protector
A mama otter holding tightly onto her young pup. I sprinted to the dock ahead in hopes that she would swim past me. Taken in Morro Bay, CA.
The Curious Coyote
While driving in Lake Tahoe, CA we spotted three baby coyotes frolicking in a field as their parents stood guard.
Alone
A baby seal I stumbled across while going to shoot sunset.
Stare Down
My only goal this day was to find a bobcat and thankfully my wife spotted this beauty. Taken in Point Reyes, CA.
Winter is Coming
A hungry black bear in search of lunch. Another shot of the bear we "tracked down" in Yosemite National Park.
Perched
The amount of birds of prey at the Point Reyes National Seashore makes this a common sight, but they don't always stayed posed for the camera.
Flight
A lone pelican in flight.
